June 30 {Day 71}

In Robert on June 30, 2010 at 12:53 pm

For his last day of Pre-K, Robert gave each of his teachers a little potted plant and a card that he wrote his name on (all by himself!). He just loves his teachers and looked forward to going to school everyday. He’ll be back there this summer for 1 week of Dino Camp, but I know that he is already looking forward to school starting up again in the Fall.

June 29 {Day 70}

In Benjamin, Everyday Life on June 29, 2010 at 7:44 pm

I relish the mornings that start out quietly. But when I don’t hear a peep from The Boys rooms, I actually wonder if they are alright. At 8am, which is late for Ben, I snuck into his room to find him sitting and reading. I love when I can catch a glimpse of my kids before they get a chance to see me.

June 28 {Day 69}

While I was photographing two adorable sisters, they were “doing my hair” with whatever plant life they could find in their yard. It made them more comfortable around me, and it helped me to forget about the heat and humidity that has been invading our neck of the woods lately. When the oldest sister finished with my hairdo, she insisted I take a picture of it. I think it actually looks quite nice.

June 27 {Day 68}

In Everyday Life on June 27, 2010 at 8:06 pm

This is the second Sunday afternoon that Sean and I spent sitting on lawn chairs and sipping frozen margaritas while we watched the boys play. Life is good.

June 26 {Day 67}

In Everyday Life on June 26, 2010 at 7:04 pm

Any chance we get, we take the kids to the county fairs or festivals. We bring blankets and chairs and hang out. There is usually live music, games, plenty of food and enough to keep the boys occupied for hours. We are usually drained from being in the sun all day, but you can’t beat that kind of fun.

June 25 {Day 66}

In Everyday Life on June 25, 2010 at 6:09 pm

We went to Robert’s Year End School Picnic today. It marked the end of his “academic year” and the start of summer time escapades, outdoor excursions, and me having to juggle both kids, full-time. Let the fun begin!

June 24 {Day 65}

In Family on June 24, 2010 at 2:37 pm

Two delightful deliveries arrived at our door today. Beautiful flowers (thanks, Mom & Dad!) and a tasty Edible Arrangement (thanks, Mom Kelly!).  Wonderful surprises that totally made our day.

June 23 {Day 64}

In Jenn, Sean, The two of us on June 23, 2010 at 7:30 pm

Today is my 9th wedding anniversary. Sean and I have been together for 18 years and it is amazing to me that I can say that for the vast majority of those years, it has been ups, and not downs. I am blessed to have found a best friend, a wonderful father and someone who has supported me in everything I do. I can’t imagine growing old with anyone else.

June 22 {Day 63}

In Everyday Life on June 22, 2010 at 8:19 pm

There is something about a house with a piano. I always wanted one growing up, not that I ever knew how to play one, but it always seemed like a nice idea. It just seems like a great family thing to do, you know, one person plays while the others sing along (every family with a piano does that, right?). Guess we will have to gather around Robert’s plastic recorder and sing until we get that piano.

June 21 {Day 62}

In Everyday Life, The Boys on June 21, 2010 at 8:37 pm

They are everywhere. We eat breakfast with them, they ride in the car with us, and they even take showers with The Boys. I have at least 2 in my purse at any given time and they always join us on all our errands. I am speaking of dinosaurs. They may no longer walk the earth, but in our household, they still are alive and kicking.
