September 30 {Day 163}

Thanks to a friends recommendation (thanks, Heather!), we have discovered a wheat-free/gluten-free/dairy-free/soy-free bagel, that actually tastes good. Robert loves it! I think it is tasty too, but I have to stick to the allergen ridden versions because the “special”ones are too darn expensive!

September 29 {Day 162}

Ben has earned the nickname “The Destructor”. In his 2 years of life he has broken more items around this house than Robert, Sean and I combined. No joking. So, if you are ever at our house, keep anything you don’t want broken away from Ben. Because he will find it, he will throw it, and he will break it. You have been warned!

I still love sneaking in at night and looking at my boys while they are sleeping. So peaceful. So sweet.

September 26 {Day 159}

We made our annual trip to the local Italian Festival. Poor Ben was only able to get on one ride, because he was too short. I even tried spiking his hair up to look taller (a friend of mine gave me that tip). He still had a good time running around and watching Robert go on rides. It was some much-needed family time, as well. We have been so busy lately, we all haven’t been in one place at the same time in a while. It was a nice afternoon outing.

September 25 {Day 158}

I spent today shooting at Grounds for Sculpture.  If you can make it there, you should go. It is amazing. Such a beautiful setting for photographs, a morning walk, or a just exploring all the interesting art work. I am so lucky that this is how I get to spend my working hours.

September 24 {Day 157}

Tonight I am spending an intimate evening with my new camera. It’s not new to me, as far as using one, this is the camera I rented when I shot the Solid Sound Festival. The main difference is that this one is all mine. Welcome home.

September 23 {Day 156}

We had a good 4-6 months since asthma has reared its ugly head, but it decided it was time to pay Robert a visit. So our day was filled with “quiet play”, nebulizers, inhalers and lots of down time. Hopefully he feels better tomorrow, because we all need to get out of this house!

September 22 {Day 155}

Ben picked out these gourds and pumpkins and I welcome them in the house as the first sign that fall is upon us. I love this time of the year. Cooler weather, beautiful colors and the excitement of the upcoming holidays.

Today, Robert drew his first self portrait. Not bad for 4 1/2!
